🏛️ Aspendos, located 2 km north off the 44th km of the Antalya–Alanya highway, hosts the best-preserved Roman theater in the Mediterranean. Founded near the ancient Eurymedon River (today’s Köprüçay), the city prospered thanks to fertile lands and trade routes. The theater, with a capacity of 15,000–20,000, is a Roman architectural gem. Other highlights include the aqueducts, agora, basilica, and Hellenistic temple. Aspendos thrived during Roman, Byzantine, and Seljuk periods and still impresses with its grandeur today.
